Holistic interior design is not simply a skill I acquired, it is the culmination of a lifetime of learning, refinement, and devotion to conscious living. While my professional design journey began in the world of traditional interior design, my very first company, Eco Fabulous Interiors, revealed where my true passion lived. Even then, I was deeply immersed in biophilic design, biomimicry, green construction, sustainable materials, and every certification or ecological framework I could get my hands on. In many ways, I was ahead of the curve. At that time, eco-friendly paints, adhesives, textiles, and building materials were not only significantly more expensive but often inconsistent in their quality. As a result, mainstream adoption was slow.

Looking back now, it’s incredible to see how the industry has evolved. Sustainability has become a cornerstone of contemporary design, no longer an afterthought, but a leading driver for homeowners, builders, and designers alike. I’ve been thrilled to watch sustainable products become more durable, more accessible, and beautifully integrated into the marketplace. In fact, at last year’s Interior Design Show (IDS) in Vancouver, it was inspiring to witness so many vendors and creators fully committed to environmentally responsible design. It felt like the industry had finally caught up to a vision I had held for decades.

After my early years with Eco Fabulous Interiors, I stepped back from the traditional design world to deepen my personal and spiritual studies. What began as a yoga teacher training journey expanded into Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western herbalism, and eventually led me to become a non-denominational spiritual minister. This period of study reshaped not only my worldview but my understanding of what a space can truly offer a human being.
So when I speak about ‘zen decor’ and my holistic interior design offerings today, I am drawing from a lifetime of interdisciplinary learning, uniting eco-conscious design with ancient healing wisdom, energetic awareness, and lifestyle alignment. My work now touches every facet of holistic living. It is design as medicine where your environment reflects your energy and your space becomes a partner in your wellbeing.
Ultimately, holistic interior design is about creating environments that support balance, harmony, and vitality, so that your home not only looks beautiful, but nourishes the way you live, breathe, rest, and evolve.
And now, as I step into the next chapter of my journey, I’m thrilled to be launching a holistic interior design course, an offering that beautifully weaves together everything I’ve studied, practiced, and embodied over the past 25 years. It feels like a true culmination of my lifelong devotion to wellness, spirituality, and design. This course is more than education; it is an invitation into a new way of living, creating, and relating to the spaces that hold us. I couldn’t be more excited to share this work and guide others in transforming their homes into environments that heal, inspire, and elevate their lives.
